The Corner Store

The Corner Store is an upscale American restaurant on the landmark corner of Houston and West Broadway in SoHo – think old-school New York dining room, but polished for 2020s Manhattan. Inside, there’s a grand horseshoe bar, chevron wood floors, velvet banquettes and vintage city photography, all lit to feel warm, flattering and just a touch theatrical.

The room has real range, too. Early in the evening it works for a polished pre-theatre or business dinner; as the night goes on, the music lifts, the martinis start to flow and it tilts decisively into “big night out” territory. It’s lively and social rather than hushed – ideal if you want a fun, high-energy table in SoHo, whether that’s a date, a birthday, or a group who want to lean into the full, slightly nostalgic New York experience.

What to expect

The menu is straightforward and nostalgic: elevated versions of the dishes everyone secretly wants to order. Expect spinach–artichoke dip with house-cut chips, a Caesar with crispy cream cheese and everything-bagel croutons, lobster and caviar rolls, Wagyu French dip with steaming au jus poured tableside, and serious fries with “secret sauce”, plus playful desserts like a Samoa sundae and hot apple hand pies.
